Assist Visits

Get started with an Assist Visit

Assist Visits provide tailored training centered around the unique needs and risks you are facing. Assist Visits are pioneered by ReliabilityFirst and are available to entities on a voluntary basis.

  • Assist Visits are tailored to your needs, so they can range from recurring engagements that address significant program improvements, to multi- or single-day onsite engagements, to a simple conference call.
  • During an Assist Visit, ReliabilityFirst may discuss specific approaches for implementing the Reliability Standards; however, we cannot guarantee compliance if those approaches are used since compliance is dependent upon the manner in which the guidance is implemented.
  • There may be other ways to comply with the requirements of the Reliability Standards that are not expressed during the Assist Visit. Compliance will be determined based on current language in the Reliability Standards as it may be amended from time to time.

To request an Assist Visit, please complete the Assist Visit request form below. If you have any questions, please visit our Contact Us page and direct your question to the Entity Engagement department.

ReliabilityFirst encourages any Registered Entity representative to reach out and engage in our Assist Visit program with any question. It is our mission to help guide the Entity to the correct policy and procedure that best fits their need. By volunteering to participate in the Assist Visit Program, you acknowledge that you understand and consent to the following terms and conditions and representations:
  • • The Assist Visit, as part of the Entity Engagement department, and any discussions held during a visit, are for informational and guidance purposes only and should not be construed as a formal risk assessment.
  • • During an Assist Visit, ReliabilityFirst may discuss specific approaches for implementing the Reliability Standards; however, ReliabilityFirst cannot guarantee compliance if those approaches are used since compliance is dependent upon the manner in which the guidance is implemented. The recommendations provided are based on a limited understanding and should not be taken as a directive to take specific actions or as advice on how to approach mitigation. Many individual facts can impact a compliance/security/reliability outcome. Additionally, the Assist Visit program does not represent the views of other departments and any opinions expressed are solely those of the ReliabilityFirst representative. To clarify this separation, an Entity should not request an Assist Visit during active audits.
  • • Please reach out to a ReliabilityFirst representative if you have questions or for specific compliance related questions you may always reach out to your Case Manager. If you are not sure who your assigned Case Manager is, please visit our Contact Us page and reach out to Enforcement to be connected with your Case Manager.
